Astrology is a sacred, metaphysical subject which studies the stars and cycles of the universe to interpret its influence on us as individuals and collectively. The origins of Astrology goes far back to ancient civilizations such as Mesopotamia, Kemet, etc and spread to many other cultures and in different variations, India, China, the Greeks and so on. Originally only Kings, Queens, Emperors and Empresses had access to astrology, which was inseparable from astronomy. Astrology focuses on the inner and spiritual essence -  the esoteric and astronomy focuses on the outer and physical aspects of the planets/luminaries - the exoteric. Eventually, throughout time, astrology was dimmed down and discredited. One can only assume that this was due to the powerful knowledge and insight it provided to our ascension process during this lifetime. 

There are many different types of astrology and as mentioned, variations. My particular field and what my services offer is intuitive natal chart astrology as a tool for self discovery. I currently use Tropical astrology with the Placidus house system, unless requested otherwise. Although there are many variations to the systems depending on culture or time period, I’ve personally found that each variation serves its own unique purpose. It’s similar to medicine. For instance, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine all offer healing/recovery/treatments, in different ways.  Each chart system and interpretation is a different layer to our being and I've personally found that with metaphysical tools, you come across exactly what you need, when you need it. For instance, I was drawn to numerology but wasn't drawn to any numerologers by search in particular, however on my journey I met a numerologist who gave me an in depth reading into what my name at birth and date of birth represented in this lifetime. Another example is when I stumbled upon the draconic zodiac system, which shows the souls evolutionary path using astrology. Both of these cases presented themselves when I was ready for the information. As the saying goes "when the student is ready the teacher will appear".  The process to self discovery involves so many depths that seem infinite, which is a direct reflection of the collective itself. The more we are able to understand ourselves, the more we are able to understand each other.​

Throughout my life many have either mocked my passion for astrology or been quick to tell me that they don't believe in it. My response to that for the skeptics is; that the existence of this ancient knowledge is not dependent on your belief or validation. It's a tool, you simply choose to use it or choose not to. If the moon's gravitational pull can affect the ocean and its tides, it certainly affect us considering that the human body is made up of over 60% water. As the Hermetic principle states "as above, so below. as below, so above".
